Daylight Saving

• It's that time of year again...in the spring we change our clocks FORWARD.  On Sunday, March 14th at 2:00am we move ONE HOUR AHEAD!  It is always a good idea to change the clock as you head to bed (and don't forget the batteries in your smoke detectors).

Women's Prayer Breakfast

• Our next prayer breakfast of the year is scheduled for Saturday, March 27th at 10am.  We would love to have you join us as we have breakfast, grow our friendships and spend sweet time in prayer. Elaine Fredrich can answer any of your questions.  Please keep in mind that our breakfasts are scheduled for the fourth Saturday of each month we hope you will mark them on your calendar. No sign up needed, just bring a breakfast dish to share and join us at the church.

Women's Bible Study

• Come and join the women as they walk through the book of Philippians using a Kay Smith Bible Study book.  The group meets each Thursday evening at 7pm at CCLV.  The cost of $7.00 is to cover the book expense.  Feel free to join the group anytime.  We are looking forward to hearing what the Lord has to say to each of us through this study!  Call Elaine Fredrich if you have any questions.

Family Campout

• Make your plans today to spend some quality time with us playing in the sand, surf & sun!  We are going to be at the beach this August for our Family Campout.  Check out the KOA Astoria/Warrenton/Seaside website at www.astoriakoa.com for all the fun activities they offer.  Don't forget we will be right across the street from Ft. Stevens.  The sign up is out in the Information Center and is waiting for your name to be added. 
• At this time we are working on getting our group pricing taken care of.  The campground needs to get a headcount of our attendance in order to give us the best price possible.  Mark on the sign up whether you will need a tent, RV or KOA Kabin site.
• Check your calendar for August 25-31 and let us know right away if you are planning to join in the fun!  Don't forget the sunscreen...

After-Service Fellowship

• Interested in providing a goodie to share during fellowship on Sunday?  Sign up to bring a sweet or call the church office at 360-578-6258.  We suggest co-hosting with another family in the church.  Thank you for blessing us with sweets!

Men's Breakfast

• The next breakfast is on the books for Saturday, March 6th at 8am.  Denny Martinez is coordinator for the men's breakfast and is happy to answer any of your questions.  Plan to enjoy a hearty breakfast, good fellowship and time in the Word.  Sign up or call the office so we know how many to feed.
• Remember to keep in mind the breakfast is usually the first Saturday of each month at 8am.  The next breakfast is April 3rd.

NEW!  Prophecy Video Series - Wednesday Evening Bible Study at 7pm

Come out and join us as we study through the Word of God. Pastor Al is currently sharing with us video from the Prophecy Conference 2010 that was held at Calvary Chapel of the Finger Lakes in New York.  This series will continue each Wednesday in March.  Pastor Al is very excited for you to hear the messages given on the videos.

• Our Youth Group for 6th-12th grade students meet on Wednesday evenings as well.
• Our Children's Ministry team will teach your little one about Jesus.  We look forward to seeing you there!
• Nursery care is available each Wednesday for your littlest ones.

After the Prophecy Series is over we will continue our study through 1 Kings.  Invite a friend or neighbor and plan to attend worship & study on Wednesday evenings.

The Next Step

• Our Next Step is geared for young adults ages 18-28 and is there to encourage you in your walk with the Lord. Come out for a great time of fellowship and a time in the Word of God. The next events scheduled for the Next Step are listed here:

Men's Bible Study Groups

• Pick from Thursday evening at 7pm (New Testament) with Ed Davis or Saturday morning at 8am (discipleship) with Pastor Al.   These groups will meet on a continuous basis each week.  Feel free to come by - no sign up needed!

Agape Feasts

Many have asked just what are the Agape Feasts?  Simply put, they are organized potluck gatherings.  The office will pair host homes and guests each month to ensure a fun mix.  As host you are given your guest list and are asked to select a day in the given month to host your feast.  You will decide a menu, ask your guests to bring items that will compliment your meal and follow up your invitation with a phone call to your guests a few days before your gathering.  It really is very easy and a whole lot of fun! 

If you feel you don't have the space or aren't interested in being a host but would like to get involved then sign up to be a guest.  Each month you will visit a new host home and have dinner with a new group of guests.  This is a great way to get to know the other families in the church as well as make & build new friendships!  What are you waiting for?

• Plan to be a part of this wonderful fellowship opportunity!  You can sign up to be a host home or a guest at a different home each month.  Runs January through May.  Our guests and host homes will be arranged through the office again this year.  The interest cards are in the Information Center waiting for you. 

International Dinner & Game Night

• You won't want to miss the adventure of testing your tastebuds as you eat your way around the world at our International Dinner!  Mark your calendar for Saturday, March 20th.  The fun will begin at 5pm at the church with dinner & then plan to stick around to fellowship with board & card games.  The sign up sheet is out in the Information Center - we can't wait to see what ethnic food you bring.  Hope you will plan to join us!  Roxanne Brady will be happy to help answer any questions you may have.
• An exciting addition to our evening is the introduction of our newest staff member!  The details are being kept a secret for now but you will be pleased once they are revealed.  Plan on hearing what's new at CCLV first hand by being at the dinner on the 20th.

Needs & Blessings Bulletin Board (AKA-Calvary Classifieds)

Don't forget about the newest bulletin board to the main lobby!  The purpose of our  board is to provide an opportunity for needs & blessings to be paired up within our body of believers. 

• So if you have a need for firewood, furniture or household items, help around the house with chores, etcetera then fill out a need slip. 
• If you have extra furniture, time to help others out or other donations, then you too can fill out a slip. 
• Don't forget this is the place to hang your invitations or event notices too. 
• Be sure all requests get approval from the office before posting them on the board.  Feel free to call the office if you have any questions.  Please lift this new ministry up in prayer.

To date we have had clothing, puppies, shoes, a tree & furniture exchanged through the board.  Got something to get rid of or something you need?  Add it to the board!
