High School Youth Group Retreat - February 24,25 & 26

The High School teens will be attending a winter retreat at Camp Winema, Oregon.  The cost will be $50 per student.  There are several fundraising events scheduled to help the teens with their registration fees.

How you can help:

 1. Buy a goodie from the Mission Cafe window this Sunday (1/8/12)

2. Have a hot dog on January 22nd.  The teens are hosting a "Dog Days of Winter" hot dog bar.  Stay to have lunch, visit with friends and support the youth! Sounds like a complete afternoon.

3. Bring a goodie or buy one on February 8th at the bake sale after church.

4. Go on a date.  Yes, you read it right-bring your kids to the church on February 10th while the teens offer childcare as you celebrate Valentine's Day.  They will take your kiddos from 6-9pm for a donation to their trip fund.

5. Have another hot dog on February 19th as the teens repeat their lunch fundraiser.

Sunday Morning Prayer

As we are reminded in scripture, we are called to be a house of prayer - a people of prayer.  Join us on Sunday mornings at 9:30am in the 3rd grade classroom for prayer.  Our petitions are sweet incense to God.  Join us!

Prayer Warriors Wanted

Interested in being part of the new prayer team and get the requests via email?  Please let Roxanne know in the office by calling or sending an email.  As a member of the prayer team you will be asked to commit to lifting the requests & needs up in prayer as they come to you through email and to be discreet with the information you receive as sometimes the prayer information is delicate & very personal.

Needs & Blessings Bulletin Board (AKA-Calvary Classifieds)

Don't forget about the bulletin board to the main lobby!  The purpose of our board is to provide an opportunity for needs & blessings to be paired up within our body of believers.

  • So if you have a need for firewood, furniture or household items, help around the house with chores, etcetera then fill out a need slip.
  • If you have extra furniture, time to help others out or other donations, then you too can fill out a slip.
  • Don't forget this is the place to hang your invitations or event notices too.
  • Be sure all requests get approval from the office before posting them on the board.  Feel free to call the office if you have any questions.  Please lift this ministry up in prayer.

To date we have had clothing, puppies, shoes, a tree & furniture exchanged through the board.  Got something to get rid of or something you need?  Add it to the board!
